Greg Dulli might be one sexy motherfucker, but he’s also an absolute indie-rock enigma. After fronting the Afghan Whigs for years, he spearheaded the group’s shift from grungy rock to sultry soul, ultimately leaving to start his own spacey R&B band, The Twilight Singers. He also teamed up with Screaming Trees frontman Mark Lanegan to form The Gutter Twins, a macabre duo whose debut record, Saturalia, was almost universally loved by critics. With so many projects, it’s hard to know which Dulli will show up on any given night, which is why his current tour, “An Evening With Greg Dulli,” is so damn promising. Expect a stripped-down, career-encompassing set, hopefully chock full of all those Afghan Whigs songs fans have been long missing.
