Greg Proops

Prone to wearing suits and spectacles, Greg Proops has always appeared vaguely British. Even during his run on the original U.K. version of Whose Line Is It Anyway?, Proops emitted a distinctly British air, matching host Clive Anderson smirk for snotty smirk. But Proops is at his best when challenging his smooth exterior with unscripted silliness. His long-running Chat Show has become a staple at Los Angeles music/comedy venue Largo, where he’s hosted guests like Dave Eggers, David Cross, and even Lucy “Xena” Lawless. These days he keeps busy with his podcast, The Smartest Man In The World, and the occasional acting gig.
