Despite frequent film and TV appearances, Harland Williams isn’t well known outside the comedy circuit, which may be why he makes an excellent character actor—fame never distracts from the part. Best known for his starring role in Half Baked—as well as for bit parts in Dumb And Dumber and There’s Something About Mary—Williams is renowned for his physical humor. When he’s not acting, Williams takes his stand-up on the road, favoring observational humor with a relaxed delivery that manages to be both polished and goofy. More recently, he’s been channeling his inner John Hodgman, penning The Things You Don’t Know You Don’t Know, a collection of fact-free factoids that translates Williams’ polished, goofy stand-up into book form.
