Henry Rollins
Those who grew up listening to Damaged probably never imagined that Henry Rollins would one day turn into a no-necked David Brenner, but at this point, Rollins has spent more time working the spoken-word circuit than he spent in Black Flag. He uses his stand-up spiels to temper his rage with humor, but with the current governmental gridlock, don’t be surprised if he offers up a little Thomas Paine-like Common Sense—with an emphasis on the pain, you know, because he’s all ripped and mean and stuff. Rollins’ is currently out on his Long March tour, during which he’ll promote a recently released collection of photos and writings, Occupants.
