Herbie Hancock

From his tenure as Miles Davis’ protégé to his days creating space-jazz and synthesizer-infused chart hits, Herbie Hancock has touched on Mozart, fusion, pop, rap, and, of course, jazz. For his last two studio albums, 2007’s Grammy-winning River: The Joni Letters and 2010’s The Imagine Project, Hancock has hooked up with a bevy of all-stars, including Norah Jones, Tina Turner, Pink, and John Legend. With or without big names to accompany him, Hancock’s still-dazzling chops and sizable collection of decades-spanning hits should more than suffice.
