Hinder
You know how people always use Nickelback as an example of horrible music? For variety’s sake, you might want to substitute Hinder every now and then. Named after a slang term for “butt” often used by grandmothers, Hinder hit it big in 2006 with “Lips Of An Angel,” a power ballad so mawkish and embarrassing it makes “With Arms Wide Open” sound like Leonard Cohen. (Sample lyric: “It’s really good to hear your voice saying my name, it sounds so sweet / coming from the lips of an angel, hearing those words it makes me weak.” Anybody else smell a fart?) The band’s 2008 album, Take It To The Limit, was thankfully not as successful as its triple-platinum debut. The downward trend continues with the band’s latest, All American Nightmare.
