A.V. Club: Best of the Decade

Artist Indian Jewelry

Houston's Indian Jewelry sees your psychedelic revival and raises you a whole bunch of shape-shifting drones, a dash of industrial clangor, and the heavily processed, otherworldly vocals of its co-ed mind-melders. Incredibly difficult to pin down—not helped by the fact that the band recorded under at least six other names before settling on Indian Jewelry—there’s a good deal of melody in Indian Jewelry’s sound; you just have to wade through a lot of muck to find it.
