Into Arcadia

Milwaukee’s Into Arcadia has drawn comparisons to Doves and Coldplay, and the band’s 2008 EP Maps For Children should certainly appeal to fans of grandiose indie guitar pop. Singer Otto Ohlsson affects an aloof Morrissey-esque croon on the surging “Distance=Time,” but it’s on the Bic-ready power ballad “Certain Boys” that Into Arcadia makes its “next great arena-rock band” ambitions most clear. The band is currently in the studio preparing a new album.
