Artist J. Dante

It seems like Minneapolis-gone-Madison MC and University Of Wisconsin First Wave student J. Dante has had a productive year, collaborating with Dumate’s Man Mantis on the Whole New World EP and with electronica-tinged producer DawnsSon on the Destiny EP. Dante’s raw, slightly unrealized delivery may at times channel a brundlefly between the East Coast drawl of the GZA and the self-conscious pop-hooks of Drake, but also showcases a towering amount of potential to become something all his own.
