James Murphy
LCD Soundsystem may be officially retired now, but don’t expect the James Murphy, the man behind “Losing My Edge,” “Daft Punk Is Playing At My House,” “All My Friends,” and “Drunk Girls,” to disappear from the music scene anytime soon. His current stint as a DJ might be a little frustrating to the many fans who want to dance the night away to Murphy’s own perfectly crafted tunes, but the DFA Records founder has gone solo several times before in his career with electrifying results. Murphy has made no secret of his musical heroes, and he’s bound to put on a great show. Expect a song from every group critics have ever compared him to during their games of “Spot The Influences,” as well as a few curveballs.
