Javelin

Despite recording together since 2004, Tom Van Buskirk and George Langford—known collectively as Javelin—have only plied their sequenced tropical rhythms, weirdo found sounds, and 8-bit squiggles outside of Brooklyn over the last few years. Credit the duo’s increased mobility to a waning loyalty to its custom, thrift-store soundsystem—or, perhaps, the warm reception received by the exotic, shopworn sounds of its debut full-length, No Mas. Profile thus raised, Van Buskirk and Langford have busied themselves with remixing the likes of Darwin Deez, producing a mix-tape for underground MC Fashawn, and a new EP, Canyon Candy.
