Jay Flash

Jay Flash occupies a unique place in the Milwaukee folk music scene. His lyrical content ranges from subtle, personal ruminations to outright political declarations, though lately he’s been investing more time crafting lengthy, moody compositions in an Animal Collective vein. Flash’s 2010 EP, Property Is Theft, is loop-heavy and dark; The results are captivating, ominous, isolating and, ultimately, very relatable in an age of political and economic uncertainty.
