Jeff Garlin
An affable comic and veteran of Second City, Jeff Garlin recently took a page from Jay-Z's book and vowed to retire from stand-up comedy—and then the writers' strike happened. He's since remained quite active as a stand-up when not playing Larry David's cheerful manager on Curb Your Enthusiasm, and has also found time to write a book: The new My Footprint: Carrying The Weight Of The World chronicles the Chicago comic's efforts to both lose weight and lessen his carbon footprint. There have been a lot of inane memoirs about "going green" written lately, but Garlin's warmth and straightforwardness assures an entertaining read.
