Artist Jeffrey Ross

Being a smash-mouth insult comic has prevented Jeffrey Ross from landing a sitcom or talk show, yet loved and loathed (or unnoticed) as he is, Ross has been allotted frequent appearances in film and TV, appearing on Stuck On You, The Sarah Silverman Program, and Weeds. As the current New York Friars’ Club “Roastmaster General,” the odds are infinitely against him as he lobs quips like, “How is it possible that Courtney Love looks worse than Kurt Cobain?” Yet it takes balls, especially when saying it to her face at 2005’s Comedy Central Roast of Pam Anderson. He’s even written a book about his roasting talents, I Only Roast The Ones I Love, and is currently on a tour titled Jeff Ross Roasts America.
