Goodness gracious, this guy’s still on tour? Yes, in fact, Jerry Lee Lewis is alive, and the 75-year-old rock ’n’ roll vet still can tickle the ivories something fierce. He was able to survive an incest and statutory rape scandal, numerous failed marriages, and a biopic starring an overeager Dennis Quaid, so it’s no wonder he’s man enough to still get up onstage after all of these years. Lewis is synonymous with the fun side of rock, ignoring social issues in favor of putting bodies on the dance floor. He may not have the same youthful energy and stage presence he once had, but he’s still got the tunes. Rock ’n’ roll may not be dead just yet, but it’s got an AARP card.
