What’s the deal with Jerry Seinfeld? After Seinfeld aired its final episode, it’s been tough to say. The sitcom earned the comedian and his co-stars a considerable amount of goodwill, but if any castmember burned through it quickly, it’s Seinfeld. After blitzing NBC with ads for the stupefying children’s flick Bee Movie, Seinfeld then roped the network into airing the “celebrities mock your relationship problems” series The Marriage Ref, which he produced and appeared on as an occasional panelist. He’s managed some degree of image rehab, though, co-starring in the seventh season of Curb Your Enthusiasm and popping up on The Daily Show to discourage Jon Stewart from making cheap jokes about Marcus Bachman, all the while maintaining the eternally flabbergasted, observational stand-up style that won him fame and fortune in the first place.
