While some comedy snobs point their noses skyward at anything that isn’t “indie” or “alternative,” others know that a comedian’s obscurity doesn’t always mean “better.” Those who react to Saturday Night Live alumnus Jim Breuer’s stoned demeanor as though it’s nails on a blackboard fail to see him for what he is: a disciple of morning-zoo radio whose impression-heavy, frat-ready act is a guaranteed crowd-pleaser. In 2010, Breuer released his first book, I’m Not High, which aims to prove that he’s more than just Goat Boy and the dude from Half Baked by detailing his religious views and his recent struggle to care for his ailing father. Heavy shit, man.
