Even in an age of excess information, uncovering much about Gothenburg-based duo jj is a Herculean effort. What is known is that last year the willfully obscure duo released jj no. 2, a dreamy electro-pop debut that was heralded as the second best pop album of the year by The Washington Post (behind Animal Collective’s Merriweather Post Pavilion). Joakim Benon and Elin Kastlander are out now behind jj no. 3, a sophomore effort combining ethereal dance tracks, honey-rich vocals, and—delightfully—snippets of Lil Wayne covers.
