Artist Joe Cocker

Though Joe Cocker’s most recognizable songs are covers (including his brilliant remake of The Beatles’ “With A Little Help From My Friends”), the blue-eyed soul man from Sheffield, England, has an entirely authorial sound and image—his near-epileptic stage fits, lovingly immortalized by John Belushi, are inseparable from his distinctive rasp. Plus, he recorded one of the greatest love songs in history: 1975’s “You Are So Beautiful.”
