Artist Joey Cape

As the frontman for California punk band Lagwagon, Joey Cape keeps things fast and furious, but he also plays the field stylistically in projects like cover band Me First And The Gimme Gimmes. His debut solo effort, 2008’s Bridge, marked the occasion of another stylistic swerve, going for a stripped-down and soulful sound reminiscent of Elliott Smith. He continued to mine that vein on his 2011 follow up, Doesn’t Play Well With Others.
