An accountant-cum-comic, John Pinette has popped up in a bunch of movies and TV shows during the past 20 years, including Revenge Of The Nerds III and IV, Parker Lewis Can’t Lose, and even the final episode of Seinfeld. His calling card, though, is his weight: Pinette’s a big guy, and he derives most of his laughs from poking at his own girth (or “cherub-like demeanor,” as he calls it). His debut comedy album was 1998’s Show Me The Buffet, and his 2006 DVD, I’m Starvin’!, aired as a special on Comedy Central—but newer material, including 2007 CD Making Lite Of Myself and his 2011 one-hour special, Still Hungry, is more focused on trying to shed the cherubic looks.
