Even while leading Colorado punk outfit Armchair Martian throughout the ’90s, Jon Snodgrass wore his country heart on his sleeve. Starting Drag The River with neighbor Chad Price of All seemed like a front-porch affair, but the instant chemistry was undeniable: Price’s sweet twang was the perfect foil for Snodgrass’ gruff rumble, in that Tweedy-versus-Farrar kind of way.
