Jon Stewart

It’s safe to say that since taking over The Daily Show a little more than a decade ago, Jon Stewart has become the voice of a generation. Not only is the comedian arguably the foremost political satirist of his day, he continues to shape and influence the way Americans think about their news, politics, and civil (and not-so-civil) discourse. Yes, Stewart still occasionally dismisses The Daily Show as nothing more than “fake news,” but it’s obvious to both fans and host alike that it’s far from frivolous entertainment. Both Stewart and his program—not to mention his recent “Rally To Restore Sanity”—are nothing less than game-changers.
