Never underestimate the power of a dead-end job. T-Mobile employee and beat-maker Double-O got a boost in the music business when producer Just Blaze (Jay-Z, Kanye West, Eminem) came in looking for a Sidekick. In the seven years since, Double-O and his partner, rapper Naledge, have released three albums, including this year’s Land Of Make Believe. Kidz In The Hall seem to still be feeling out their place between backpack and mainstream hip-hop, but the album’s corny single “Take Over The World” found its calling when it was promoted as a World Cup anthem.
