KingHellBastard
KingHellBastard is sort of the Ernest Hemingway of the Milwaukee rap game: The group’s lyrics are rooted in the modern lit tradition—members cite David Foster Wallace and F. Scott Fitzgerald as influences—and moreover, these guys will drink you under the fucking table before the show. (Seriously, they make the ’80s-era Beastie Boys look like pansy lightweights). Its penchant for partying aside, KHB might be the hardest working act in the city, hip-hop or otherwise. The group is always up to something, whether it’s producing videos, designing gear, or celebrating the release of a new album, The War Room.
