Artist Knyfe Hyts
Formed in 2006 as a side-project by members of fellow Brooklyn art-rock mainstays Oneida and Ex Models, these days Knyfe Hyts (pronounced “Knife Hits”) is easier to catch around town than either of its members’ regular bands. Knyfe Hyts play jagged shards of metal riffs with trancelike repetition: The songs (by design) offer little in the way variety or dynamics, but their sound is to be savored regardless for its rusty industrial grind and pummeling feedback.
