Toronto’s K-Os has kept up a fluid balance between respectable flow and shiny, soulful vocal hooks since debuting with 2003’s Exit. Since then, he’s kept on coming across more smooth and eclectic than most MCs of a preachy persuasion. He sprinkles his tunes with everything from funky hip-hop grinds to reggae to the hook of “California, Here We Come” (the last on “I Wish I Knew Natalie Portman” from 2009’s Yes!). He plays here behind the playfully conceived new Anchorman Mixtape.
