KRS-One
After releasing his first album with Boogie Down Productions in 1987, KRS-One went on to become one of the most influential characters in the history of hip-hop. Albums like 2007’s Hip Hop Lives and 2008’s Adventures In Emceein and Maximum Strength 2008 didn't light up the scene the same as old, but KRS-One still commands a healthy amount of attention for his place in the hearts and minds of a movement not exactly overflowing with worthy ambassadors these days. Ever community-minded, KRS-One's priorities are largely grounded in collaboration these days: follow-ups to Survival Skill, his 2009 record with Buckshot, include collaborations with protégé P-Do and Wu-Tang associate True Master.
