Artist Kyle Cease

Kyle Cease’s quick, impish delivery is well suited to a sloppy-drunk night at the comedy club, yet sharp enough that his set stays well ahead of the rising slick of High Life. Despite some of his baser material (screeds on Nintendo, the Pillsbury Doughboy, the band Creed), comparisons to Dane Cook and Adam Sandler are just a tad off the mark. Cease is self-effacing enough to direct his amped-up silliness at himself. Even pickier stand-up fans might find themselves liking the dude a bit more than they’d expect to. Cease signed to Comedy Central Records for his 2006 album One Dimple, and he recently announced plans to record a follow-up.
