Artist Lady Antebellum

After debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with its album Need You Now, Lady Antebellum has pushed the drunken country karaoke movement forward momentously. With the 2009 album’s belt-worthy title track, the Nashville trio has successfully created a guilty pleasure on par with other train-wreck masterpieces like Ke$ha’s “Tik Tok” and Lady Gaga’s “Just Dance.” With a Grammy for Best Country Performance under its belt, Lady Antebellum is second only to maybe Carrie Underwood or Taylor Swift as the hottest shit in the mainstream country world right now. Its latest record, 2011’s Own The Night, might not be quite as cross-demographically popular, but it landed another Grammy for Best Country Album, along with another top ten single, “Just A Kiss.”
