Lagwagon
Lagwagon was always a strictly second-string band when it came to pop-punk in the ’90s, but the California group’s output from that decade—particularly the catchy, goofy, skate-friendly Hoss from 1995—has held up decently over the years. Lagwagon even picked up a smidgeon of indie cred in 1996 when Ken Stringfellow of power-pop champs The Posies signed on for an album and a tour. Since then, the group has chugged along respectably—although its last album, Resolve, came out four years ago—while frontman Joey Cape splits his time with punk-parody supergroup Me First And The Gimme Gimmes and as a solo artist.
