Artist Lasco Stroud

Like many two-piece rock bands, Madison’s Lasco Stroud firmly makes up for a lack of members by filtering its punk-rock-fueled songs through gobs of echo-heavy distortion, but do so to such an extent that the results can be dizzying. But songs like “Yer Dog” from its 2009 self-titled album don’t buzz so hard as to block a little whistling, laser sound effects, and warbling vocals from busting through and cutting the tension. Lasco Stroud recently toured the West Coast and released Lasco Stroud And The Sunken Ghost Ship and Live At The Turf Club, which was recorded using a phone.
