Artist Laura Stevenson And The Cans

Hailing from Brooklyn, Laura Stevenson And The Cans add an oomph to the indie pop formula. Their most recent LP, Sit/Resist, was briefly offered as a free download and was well worth the click. It's a slice of indie-pop heaven with a kitchen-sink mentality: chiming guitars, strings, violins, and Stevenson’s soaring voice all stack atop one another, and the results are shimmering, if a bit twee, pop songs.
