Leisure Birds are a lot easier to peg. The “psych” tag is too liberally applied these days, but it fits with this stoner-y garage quartet. Imagine The Trashmen, the 13th Floor Elevators, and Carl Perkins dropping LSD together—you’d have the Leisure Birds. If scenester cred’s your bag, the band is also a member of Ryan Olson’s (of Gayngs) Totally Gross National Product label.
