A.V. Club: Best of the Decade

Artist Lewis Black

People less familiar with Lewis Black’s material might know him solely as the steam-spouting comedian who pops up on The Daily Show to flail his arms like those inflatable plastic monsters posted outside used-car dealerships. Though the Comedy Central show may have exposed Black’s rampaging, profanity-laced rants to a larger audience, the comedian has been carving a growing niche for himself in recent years through CDs, DVDs, stand-up specials, books, and somewhat random film roles, as in the 2006 family film Unaccompanied Minors.
