Linkin Park

The nü-metal renaissance dominated the musical landscape of the early aughts, soundtracking the angst of every middle school kid who thought Rage Against The Machine was a little too preachy. Linkin Park’s debut album, Hybrid Theory, an aggro fusion of cuss-free rap and heavy metal, hit the charts in 2000 and stayed there for years, and more than a decade later, the band is still plugging away. Presumably following the Biebs’ lead, Linkin Park has immortalized its live show on tape, which it may not particularly deserve to do but did anyway, because $$$. Released nationwide, Live In Berlin captures the band’s June 5 concert and features a “special introduction from the band,” which is probably just a thank you for forking over cash and a plug for the new album, Living Things, due out June 26.
