Lisa Hannigan

Lisa Hannigan rose to prominence in Damien Rice’s band, where she enjoyed a six-year stint as singer during Rice’s live shows and on albums such as O and 9. Born in Kilcloon, Ireland, Hannigan returned to Dublin in 2007 to begin working on a solo career. Since that time she has released two LPs, 2008’s Sea Sew and 2011’s The Passenger, and established herself as a prominent Irish voice in contemporary folk music. Hannigan’s music recalls the twang of fellow female singer-songwriters Regina Spektor and Feist while invoking the Irish brogue of her homeland.
