Beside the benefits of all their individual work in Madison, many of the members of Little Red Wolf have collaborated already, in bands like A Catapult Western and the current, insanely violent Web seriesChapel. That familiarity shines through in the quartet’s clean and crisp mixture of folk, pop, and chamber-rock on this year’s Good Girl EP, with some downbeat country and Sleater-Kinney-like vocal harmonies bubbling to the surface on tracks like “Welcome To Rest.” Pushier songs like “Bella In The Elm” sharpen the edges for the band a bit. Here’s hoping that range of sound and emotion carries over to its upcoming, debut full-length.
