Lizz Winstead

Lizz Winstead

Lizz Winstead ran The Daily Show long before Jon Stewart was synonymous with the program. A co-creator and head writer of the now-beloved news spot, Winstead left the show back in 1998, but has continued to work in political comedy ever since. The past decade has seen her host a similarly satirical morning show on the Oxygen Network and work alongside Chuck D and Rachel Maddow on Air America. Most recently, the Minnesota native has written her first book, Lizz Free Or Die, which collects various autobiographical “messays” into an optimistic memoir focused mainly on her success and female empowerment.
