Lizz Winstead
Lizz Winstead ran The Daily Show long before Jon Stewart was synonymous with the program. A co-creator and head writer of the now beloved news spot, Winstead left the show back in 1998, but has continued to work in political comedy ever since. The past decade has seen her host a similarly satirical morning show on the Oxygen Network and work alongside Chuck D and Rachel Maddow on Air America. Most recently, the Minnesota native has been at the helm of Shoot The Messenger—a live sketch show about an inept fictional news network that barely tackles important stories—which has since been developed as a television pilot under the name Wake Up, World.
