Marilyn Manson
Marilyn Manson is a creep, and that’s why his fans love him. Whether he’s donning a top hat and black eyeliner, pimping some Gucci shades, or prancing around like a sexy Hitler, the shock-rocker never lets you forget that he’s a showman first and a musician second. Still, it’s hard to remember a time when Manson was, well, shocking. Maybe that’s because he hasn’t toured the U.S. since 2009, leaving the job of outraging the easily outraged in the capable hands (and middle fingers) of artists like Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj, and M.I.A. All of that is set to change this year, however, as Manson and company take to the road behind a new album, Born Villain. The record is being described as “suicide death metal,” which sounds about right.
