Marshall Crenshaw
A remarkably talented pop craftsman with a bottomless knowledge of rock history, Marshall Crenshaw may be best known for his classic self-titled 1982 debut, particularly the Buddy Holly-esque “Someday, Someway.” But he’s labored on steadily and impressively since, trending more toward adult-alternative on 2003’s What’s In The Bag? and 2009’s Jaggedland, his first album in six years—both full of sophisticated, warm, and carefully crafted melodies. Crenshaw is also an impressive live performer, so come to his shows prepared for smart, bright pop delivered by a seasoned pro.
