Mew

A pop act that’s at once bigger and stranger than pretty much any other this side of Radiohead, the Copenhagen-based Mew has confounded listeners with its heady brew of shoegaze, electro-pop, and stadium-sized riffs for more than a decade. A recent album, No More Stories..., has an unwieldy title (an eight-line poem you'll have to go find in whole elsewhere) and an expansive sonic palette, but there’s a buoyancy that carries through from start to finish, rendering the songs just as danceable as they are cerebral.
