Michael Chabon

Michael Chabon’s Wonder Boys was made into a sleeper-hit film with Michael Douglas, but his most notable—and so far, best—work was his Pulitzer-winning fictional take on the early days of comic books, The Amazing Adventures Of Kavalier & Clay. Though Chabon has taken a break from novels since releasing two in 2007, he’s kept busy with essay collections, the latest of which, 2009’s Manhood For Amateurs: The Pleasures And Regrets Of A Husband, Father, And Son, tackles what it means to be male with an autobiographical look at the writer’s growth from boy to husband and father.
