Mike Birbiglia has a slow, purposeful voice that dips between sleepy surfer and deadpan Steven Wright. The Massachusetts-born comedian has been known to expound on bears and his feelings of awkwardness at orgies, though in recent years he’s become more recognized for Sleepwalk With Me, his sharp, often highly personal one-man show about his real-life sleepwalking disorder. He’s since accompanied it with an autobiography, Sleepwalk With Me And Other Painfully True Stories, and recruited Ira Glass for a possible screenplay adaptation. In the meantime, he continues his escalation as comedy’s preeminent storyteller with a new production, My Girlfriend’s Boyfriend.
