Artist Mike Gordon

Phish reunited in 2009 to tour and produce a new LP, Joy, but the years-long lull between gigs wasn’t a silent one. Each of the members went about his own other projects, and among the more prolific was Mike Gordon, the jam band’s buoyant bassist. He toured with the experimentalists in the Benevento-Russo Duo, recorded an album with master fingerpicker Leo Kottke, and managed to take his own band around the country in support of his 2008 album, The Green Sparrow. Phish remained plenty active in 2010, but Gordon still somehow found time to record his third solo album, the recent Moss.
