Mint Condition hit it big in 1991 with Meant To Be Mint, bridging the funky R&B of “Minneapolis Sound”-era Prince and The Time and the smooth croons of groups like Boyz II Men. It’s one of the few surviving R&B groups of that era, and this year it’ll release its seventh studio album, 7..., in addition to celebrating its 20th year as a band.
