Moonface

For his first full-length since Wolf Parade went on hiatus, Spencer Krug reemerged as his solo moniker Moonface with Organ Music Not Vibraphone Like I’d Hoped. On the 20-minute experiment Marimba And Shit-Drums, Krug still keeps in line with his grand style of songwriting typified by his other side project, Sunset Rubdown. The new record, With Sinai: Heartbreaking Bravery, is a more restricted effort that weaves an instrumental, Krautrock-inspired thrum that’s nothing short of gorgeous.
