Artist Morning Teleportation

In indie rock, an endorsement from Modest Mouse frontman Isaac Brock means something. Twitchy Portland-based rockers Morning Teleportation received a massive boon when Brock tacked them onto his label, Glacial Pace Recordings. The band specializes in up-tempo, frenetic rock that harkens back to late-’90s college-radio fare. It’s wholly digestible, slightly psych-tinged, and fun. Think of a tolerable jam band weaned more on Pavement than Jerry Garcia. Morning Teleportation’s 2011 debut LP, Expanding Away, was produced by none other than Mr. Brock himself.
