Naked Raygun

Legendary Chicago punk band Naked Raygun became hugely influential in the ’80s for its blend of aggressive hardcore and melodic songwriting. The band broke up in the early ’90s and remained inactive for most of the next 15 years, though infrequent reunions and reissues kept sparking rumors of a more permanent return. That finally happened in 2006 for Chicago’s Riot Fest, which brought back the lineup from 1990’s Raygun ... Naked Raygun—including founding vocalist Jeff Pezzati (but not, alas, guitarist John Haggerty). The band hasn’t recorded a new full-length in that time, instead choosing to eke out material on a series of 7-inch-singles released over the past two years on Riot Fest Records.
