A.V. Club: Best of the Decade

Artist Neil Young

  • Neil Young
Concept albums have been driven by all kinds of odd passions throughout rock history. Neil Young should know—he’s responsible for some of them. Still, the legendary singer-songwriter topped himself with his latest, Fork In The Road, which is basically an extended paean to the grassroots, biodiesel auto movement. The disc itself is another roughhewn chunk of big guitars, grand gestures, and adenoidal Americana—which should translate nicely at the Magness Arena Monday, when Young takes the stage to run through a few Fork songs as well as lots of selections from his formidable, 40-year-strong songbook.
